OTHER WAYS TO GET INVOVLED

Class Organizations

At LCA, students in grades 7–12 form class organizations and elect class officers each year. Positions include president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary, providing students with meaningful opportunities to develop leadership and organizational skills. Class officers help plan and lead class meetings, coordinate class events and parties, and organize a spring service project for their class.

Clubs

Students have the opportunity to participate in two different clubs each year. Club options range from fun, recreational activities like Chess and Racquet Sports, to service‑focused groups such as Spirit Club, and hands‑on learning experiences including Coding, Handyman, Cooking, and Sewing—giving students plenty of ways to explore interests, try new skills, and enjoy time with friends.

Field Trips

Field trips at LCA bring learning off the page and into the real world. Students explore the beauty of God’s creation at destinations such as Natural Bridge, Mammoth Cave, and the Newport Aquarium, while also stepping into American history at places like Squire Boone’s Caverns, Abraham Lincoln’s cabin and museum, the Kentucky State Capitol, and the Evansville World War II Museum. Biblical truth is reinforced through visits to the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter, making each trip both engaging and meaningful.

Youth Group

In addition, all LCA junior high and senior high students are welcome to participate in activities through the Landmark Baptist Church youth group. Many LCA students attend the Wednesday night youth group, especially if their home church does not meet midweek. Weekly youth services, scavenger hunts, snactivities, and special events provide students with great opportunities to have fun, build friendships, and learn more about our amazing God.

Social events

Also at the heart of our school culture is a deep commitment to celebrating our students and the bonds they share with each other. Throughout the year, our students look forward to annual events that bring them together in meaningful ways. These traditions are more than just dates on the calendar — they are opportunities for students to build lasting camaraderie, create memories they will carry long after graduation, and celebrate the accomplishments and milestones they have worked so hard to achieve. From honoring academic and athletic excellence to recognizing acts of service and simply enjoying the joy of being together, these events capture everything that makes our school community truly special.

The Junior-Senior Banquet brings together our upperclassmen for an elegant evening filled with celebration, reflection, and making memories.

The Lion's Rush is an exciting post-season celebration that recognizes the dedication, teamwork, and school spirit our student-athletes experience throughout the year.

For our elementary grades, the annual Field Day is the perfect way for students to enjoy some well-deserved time to just relax, have fun, and have much-needed play time after a year of hard work.

Each fall, after our students pour their hearts into serving the community during our annual Serve-a-Thon, we come together for the Serve-a-Thon Celebration — honoring their hard work, compassion, and commitment to making a difference.
