ATHLETICS
The LCA athletic program is designed to bring glory to God by teaching students to compete with biblical priorities rather than merely pursuing wins or personal recognition. Sports are viewed as a gracious gift from God that foster health, joy, teamwork, and gratitude while developing virtues such as self-control, perseverance, servant-mindedness, and respect for others. No matter a person’s talent, every athlete can glorify God through diligent hustle and a testimony that places Christ above all. Through Christ-centered coaching and intentional discipleship, we emphasize godliness over achievement and prepare student-athletes to play not just for game day but judgment day.
Basketball
The Lions’ JV and varsity basketball teams compete in the Kentucky Christian School Athletic Association (KCSAA). Through competition, student‑athletes learn the value of hustle, teamwork, and maintaining a Christ‑honoring testimony before their opponents. Each Spring semester, both teams compete in end-of year KCSAA state tournaments.
Soccer
The LCA Lions soccer team competes independently, playing teams from throughout the Kentuckiana area. Each October, LCA hosts the annual Landmark Invitational Tournament, a two‑day event focused on spirited competition and sportsmanship.
Volleyball
The Lady Lions JV and varsity volleyball teams compete with other Christian schools in the Kentucky Christian School Athletic Association (KCSAA). Through competition, athletes develop strong volleyball skills while also growing in character and teamwork. Each February, both teams compete in the annual KCSAA state tournament.
Elementary and Middle School
We offer developmental basketball and soccer programs for boys and girls in grades 3–6, as well as middle school volleyball for girls in grades 6–9. Players are taught the fundamentals of the game while being introduced to organized sports. This program provides a great source of fun and entertainment for the entire family!
